Six Months

Sweet Nora is halfway through her trip around the sun! I'm not sure how these past 6 months have gone by so fast, but here we are.

Nora Beverly, in your 6th month you...

• weight about 16 pounds (will update in 2 weeks when we go in)
• love to play horse and cowgirl with Dad! 
• get super excited when it is time to eat, laughing and waving all limbs is standard procedure
• chew on pretty much everything, paper being your most favorite right now
• can spin yourself in about any direction you want
• only know how to push yourself backwards, you are so determined to go forward though!
• haven't had any real food yet, but will try some soon! 
• have learned how to sit really well, just a little wobbly still
• love to hold on to my fingers and stand up
• like being outside, unless the wind is blowing in your face 
• love your pacifier and sophie giraffe! 
• celebrated your first St. Patrick's day
• are still not sleeping all night.. 
• eat every 2-3 hours all day
• have started to spit da da out every once in a while
• still love your bath and have started sitting on the big side of your whale tub! Bigsy girl!
• would much rather be carried all throughout stores instead of being in your car seat
• go through 3-4 shirts a day from all your drool :)
• enjoy your picnic basket and kitchen toys most of all
• love your big brother like crazy!

The week after spring break?

Just a random blog post with pictures from our week. Couldn't think of any sort of fabulous title, so this will do.












Pretty sure I didn't leave her there..... She just pushes herself backwards around the floor all day long and gets SCREAMING mad when she can't get forward. Silly.

Our duck friends are back again this year! They just wander around the neighborhood honking. Henry loves them and asks about them all day long.

I was cutting up carrots and had someone small watching me very close, so I handed one over.


Gma Barb and I took the kids to church on Sunday and couldn't resist stopping by the pansies for a quick shot.... or 4.

By the large number of Nora pictures this week, you can see we spent a lot of time in the chair together. She is starting to get her bottom teeth and we are not sleeping a ton at night, so we make up for it during the day :)

Spring Break

Dan was on spring break last week so we took full advantage and did tons of fun things. I think Henry and I are in mourning this week without him being around so much. Back to just the 3 of us :) Nora is blissfully unaware that daddy isn't here. We had such a great time. It makes me look so forward to summer getting here!  Here is a little recap of our week!

Monday:
We ran to Fareway and Sam's. The boys went on a walk and Nora looked adorable in her dress :)


Tuesday:
We played outside, waited for Grandma Barb to get here, grilled, and went to Party City and Hobby Lobby to get things for the big birthday extravaganza coming up!  Nora also took her first walk in the big stroller! Brother was less than impressed and it is "his".





Wednesday:
Snuggled in bed before heading to the outlet mall in Williamsburg. Henry was so excited to go in the car with Gma B, he ran out to get in that morning!




Thursday:
We went to the Youth Pavilion, played outside, grilled, and ran to Target, Home Depot and Staples, where Henry found a chair "that looks just like Grandpa's!!"


















Friday:
We just hung out most of the day. Did a little cleaning and Dan did some school work.


Saturday:
Henry caught up on the raking while Dan and Nora went for a walk. I painted Henry's school desk (photos to come). We also found the most delicious looking peanut butter egg. :)




Sunday:
We went to the library where the Mourlam children did not participate in "quiet time" We checked out 20 books and went on our merry little way.

Five Months

My Sweet Nora Beverly, you are 5 Months old today!

You...

• just moved up to size 3 diapers, although they are a little big on you. If only they made a size 2.5
• are wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes. I can squeeze you in a few of my favorite 3-6 month still
• eat every 3 hours during the day
• love to give Mommy big slobbery kisses on the cheek :) 
• can grab pretty much anything you want now
• swat at everything that moves when I hold you, mainly my water glass which makes it so fun to drink
• get so upset if you are left in the room by yourself for a second
• can roll yourself around in a complete circle
• pull your pacifier out of your mouth all the time and get it back in 80% 
• like to grab your feet and pull your socks off
• are wanting to sit up so badly and can balance pretty well for about 20 seconds or so
• laugh when getting your shirt taken off
• love playing cowgirl with daddy
• celebrated your first Valentine's Day
• just started using your jumparoo - you loved it the first day, now you have mixed feelings
• sleep most of the night, but pretty consistently get up at 3:00 AM to eat
• Blow raspberries like your life depends on it! So loud Sis! 
• love to reach or roll over by Henry if he is close to you on the floor
• are great at dismantling your iGym and chewing on the pink handle specifically
• love to play cars with Henry, aka he hands you a car and you play with it until you drop it, then he gives you another one :)

Mom..Mom..Mom!

H: Mom, Mom, Mom, What's this?
M: That's your nipple.
H: Mom, what is this?
M: That is your other nipple.
H: My nipple.... Other nipple (while pointing them out in the Tv reflection)
H: Mom, you have nipple?
M: Yes Henry, I do.
H: Nora have nipple too.
M: Yep.
H: Mom, Dad have 3 nipples.
M: I sure hope not. I think he just has 2.
H: Mom, I have 5 nipples.
M: Well bud, everyone just has 2 nipples, so if you have five, that's crazy buddy!
H: Crazy.


H: (sneezed) Mom! I sneezed. Oh bless you Henry. Mom! Mom! Bless you Henry!
M: Bless you Henry!
H: Thank you.


And this was just in the last 15 minutes. No wonder Dan says my days are comical. :)
