Ultrasound 3

So we had our third ultrasound today and the baby has my head (Dan), which means it is large. I think she said it was in the 90th percentile. The baby is doing well and weighs 7 lbs 1 oz +/- 1 pound. We also had a bio-physical profile done on the baby. While Katie was hooked up to all the monitors the nurses noticed she was having some contractions at a pretty regular interval so they decided to keep her hooked up for a while just to make sure everything was okay. After checking with the doctor they said she was just "warming up" for when she actually goes into labor and they told us to go home.

Baby Shower!

We had our first baby shower on Saturday, February 14th. We had a great time and got lots of great gifts! Our car seat also arrived last weekend, so we have been taking turns giving monkey rides around the house :)

These are pictures from our 21 week ultrasound. We don't know what we are having but by the way the baby moves sometimes it must be a boy since he won't sit still like his dad!

30 Weeks and Counting

With baby knocking on our door Katie and I have started to get things ready, a little nesting I suppose. We have gotten some of the "big" things bought like the crib, a rocking chair, and are starting to narrow it down on the dresser/changing table. We are going to pick up our car seat and probably a stroller when we go to Ames/Des Moines at the end of February for my ISU class.

Things are starting to move quickly with Katie going to the doctor every 2 weeks now, not to mention school and work in full swing. Only 9 weeks and 6 days to go!
