BBB.... or Big Boy Bed!

Henry tried to crawl out of his crib (again) yesterday and got his leg stuck (again) so we decided let's just go for it and convert his crib to a toddler bed. I am not really super excited about this, just because it is easier to have him in the crib, you can put him in- walk away and not worry about it. BUT, since staying in isn't really in Big's schedule anymore, here we are. We originally wanted to buy his new bed and transition straight to that, but since it was more on the urgent side and the rail came with his crib, this will work for now.

8:33 PM in Bed
8:35 PM Rolled out of bed, Dad put him back in
8:47 PM crying, Dad to the rescue
5:01 AM sitting up crying, quick back rub from Mom, back to sleep
8:03 AM Good Morning! Sitting in bed crying, Dan went to our doorway and said Buddy, get down. He hopped right down and was ready to go.

All in all it went much better than we expected! I didn't really sleep, afraid he was going to fall out or roam around,  but he did it. Our next battle- nap time today. :)

1.11.11 More Fun!

Well since I blogged on 1.1.11, I surely couldn't leave this day out either! Henry Jon is 21 months old today too, so it is fitting I do an update.

Our little guy is getting to be such a big guy, I swear he gets bigger and smarter each day! I am starting to work on counting to ten and singing the alphabet with him. He says eight and nine (probably because it sounds like mine) and says A. A. A. A. It is so funny because he knows what a bee is, but refuses to say B when I sing the alphabet. Silly.

He now can roar very well and make monkey noises. We have one book that incorporates both of them and it gets so excited reading it that we usually have to do it 15 times in a row. Dan begs him to find a new one, but not so much.

Henry loves watching the school buses go by at 8 and 3. They stop right by our kitchen window and he runs as fast as he can to catch a glimpse. He usually yells "snow!" while he is over there too. He also L.O.V.E.S giving Dan kisses and hugs before he goes to work in the morning. He is always running back over to the gate to get one more. Then we run into his room to wave at daddy all the way to the car and out of the driveway.

His favorite foods right now are: chicken, cheese, applesauce, eggs, noodles, and "meal" oatmeal most days.
He dislikes carrots- still. Never has liked them.

He hopped on the scale the other day and was 26 lbs and wears size 5 diapers during the day and 6 at night. Wears mostly 18-24 and 2T clothes and size 6 shoes already! I think he is going to have huge feet like his dad. (sorry Dan.)

I am so blessed to be home with my guy right now. We have such a blast together and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

(He also is a great cleaner)

1.1.11 Fun!

We are all just hanging out today. Made waffles for breakfast with my AMAZING new waffle maker I got for Christmas! I am in LOVE! (with an appliance)
According to this picture, breakfast is twelve bells. This must have been from yesterday when we also had them for lunch. :)

Yum.
Patient... not really

Come to my house, I will make you waffles.

Here is Henry playing Wii, well really he is just kind of standing on the balance board, but he gets a pretty decent score. He ends up with 35, and I think I got 60 actually trying. Nice.

His new love, I guess it is only fair.

Blurry phone picture of what is going to be going on once small guy goes to bed- BANANAGRAMS!
Super fun! Henry likes to stick the tiles in his mouth, perhaps he also thinks they look like pats of butter. Delicious either way. :)

Happy New Year to all!
